STUDENTS RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Student Rights and Responsibilities
At Axiom Compliance Learning, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment. We believe positive learning outcomes are achieved when students and staff work together with shared understanding, mutual respect, and clear expectations.
All students have defined rights and responsibilities to support a productive training experience for everyone.
Student Rights
All students enrolled with Axiom Compliance Learning have the right to:
Respect, Safety, and Inclusion
Be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect by trainers, staff, and fellow learners
Learn in a safe, inclusive environment free from discrimination, bullying, or harassment
Access training and assessment free from discrimination based on gender, race, age, disability, marital status, religion, sexual orientation, political belief, or any other protected attribute
Quality Training and Assessment
Receive training and assessment services that meet regulatory, industry, and consumer protection requirements
Be provided with clear information about course requirements, assessment methods, and expected outcomes
Be assessed in a fair, flexible, and transparent manner
Receive timely feedback on assessment outcomes
Support and Adjustments
Access student support services, including academic, LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital), and wellbeing support
Request reasonable adjustments to training and assessment where required, without disadvantage
Information and Transparency
Receive accurate and clear information about course content, fees, payment arrangements, refunds, and policies prior to enrolment and throughout training
Be informed of any significant changes to training, assessment, or course delivery
Privacy, Feedback, and Complaints
Have personal information handled in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements
Provide feedback on training and services
Lodge a complaint or appeal (including assessment appeals) and have it handled fairly, promptly, and without fear of disadvantage
Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to take an active role in their learning and to behave in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Behaviour and Conduct
Students are responsible for:
Treating trainers, staff, and fellow learners with courtesy and respect
Behaving in a manner that does not cause injury, offence, or disruption to others
Using inclusive and respectful language
Complying with Axiom Compliance Learning policies, procedures, and reasonable instructions
When attending training face-to-face or via Zoom, students are expected to:
Arrive on time and be prepared
Remain attentive and avoid unnecessary distractions
Participate actively in learning activities
For Zoom sessions, keep cameras on where possible and mute microphones when not speaking
Engagement and Progress
Students are responsible for:
Actively participating in training and maintaining satisfactory progress
Completing required pre-training activities, foundation modules, assessments, and learning tasks
Meeting assessment deadlines or notifying Axiom Compliance Learning if difficulties arise
Completing assessments honestly and independently
Information and Administration
Students must:
Provide accurate personal information at enrolment
Notify Axiom Compliance Learning of any changes to contact details
Hold and provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Facilities, Systems, and Intellectual Property
Students are responsible for:
Using Axiom Compliance Learning facilities, equipment, and online platforms responsibly
Following workplace health and safety instructions
Respecting Axiom Compliance Learning’s intellectual property and not copying, sharing, or distributing course materials without permission
